L’œuvre d’Aurélie Pétrel réside dans une interrelation entre l’image, le support et l’espace, avec laquelle non seulement elle questionne la place et le statut de chacun, mais encore multiplie les possibles par l’introduction de dispositifs tels que Michel Foucault les a définis : « des stratégies de rapports de force supportant des types de savoir, et supportés par eux ». Chambre à Tokyo présente le hors-champ de l’image architecturée, construite par plans vers l’espace réel. 儿女们没有见到过那只白鹤，他们的年纪都不小了，可是没有谁见到过白鹤。老人说每天黄昏那只白鹤会到水塘边饮水，长长的嘴巴浸在水中，松软的羽毛看上去比新轧的棉花更白更干净，它就站在离核桃树三步远的地方饮水，有时候青蛙从水草丛中跳到岸上，它就扑开翅膀飞走了，有时候牛在地里哞哞地叫起来，它就扑开翅膀飞走了。春天以来老人一直在向儿女们叙述仙鹤饮水的情景，但儿女们说他们就在水塘边灌溉耕地，他们从来没见过什么白鹤。 Continue reading
